SPECviewperf® 12

The SPECviewperf® benchmark is the worldwide standard for measuring graphics performance based on professional applications. SPECviewperf measures the 3D graphics performance of systems running under the OpenGL and DirectX application programming interfaces. The benchmark’s workloads, called viewsets, represent graphics content and behavior from actual applications.

SPECviewperf 12 was a major update including:

  • New extensible architecture that makes it easier to add API support, viewsets, models and customized tests to measure graphics performance.
  • New energy and medical viewsets that highlight volume rendering and dynamic data generation.
  • Fully updated viewsets representing popular product development applications — PTC Creo, Dassault CATIA, Siemens NX and Dassault Solidworks) and media and entertainment applications — Autodesk Maya.
  • A new viewset presenting the Autodesk Showcase visualization application.

SPECviewperf 12.0.2 extends performance measurement from physical to virtualized workstations.

SPECviewperf 12.1 added a new viewset for Autodesk 3ds Max, support for Windows 10, and native display resolution support.

SPECgpc members at the time of version 12.1 release include AMD, Dell, Fujitsu, HP, Intel, Lenovo, Micron, NVIDIA and VMware.
