The SPECviewperf® 13 Linux Edition benchmark is the worldwide standard for measuring graphics performance based on professional applications. The benchmark’s workloads, called viewsets, represent graphics content and behavior from actual applicaitons.
The SPECviewperf 13 Linux Edition benchmark was released on March 13, 2019.
The benchmark incorporates the same application traces as the Windows edition for the viewsets that use the OpenGL graphics API. Note that the application traces were obtained from the Windows versions of the applications. With the exception of Maya, medical and energy viewsets, these test should not be considered representative of the applicaitons themselves running on Linux. Rather, they should be considered end-user workloads with graphical features similar to those present in the traces.
The benchmark includes the same new features that were introduced in SPECviewperf 13, including:
- Support for 4K resolution displays
- Upgraded reporting methods, including JSON output that enable more robust and flexible result parsing
- The current standard SPEC GWPG user interface, identical to the Windows GUI
- Updated workloads and scoring that reflect the range of activities found in real-world applications
SPECviewperf 13 Linux Edition viewsets:
CATIA: catia-05
Creo: creo-02
Energy: energy-02
Maya: maya-05
Medical: medical-02
NX: snx-03
Solidworks: sw-04
A SPECviewperf 13 benchmark license covers both Windows and Linux versions. Current paid license holders of the Windows version can receive the Linux Edition free of charge.
