SPECviewperf® 15.0.1 Linux Edition

The SPECviewperf 15.0.1 Linux Edition benchmark, released on September 22, 2026, is an important update to the worldwide standard for measuring graphics performance based on professional applications.

The updated benchmark includes support for eight OpenGL workloads and various current Linux distributions. These include x86_64 systems running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10, Rocky Linux 10, and Fedora 43, as well as aarch64 systems running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. Users can assess GPUs, drivers, and system configurations using workloads representing CAD, content creation, engineering, energy, and medical visualization. The resulting data supports improved Linux workstation selection, qualification, deployment, and performance optimization.

Major updates from the previous SPECviewperf 2020 v3.0 Linux Edition benchmark include:

  • Significant Usability Improvements: Includes an all-new graphical user interface (GUI) and updated installation and configuration processes. GUI supports selecting, installing, uninstalling, and updating workloads; choosing Full HD or 4K resolution; reviewing detected system configuration; running the benchmark; and managing completed results.
  • Results Manager: Allows users to open HTML reports, annotate and organize runs, identify submission-candidate results, and package selected results. The specviewperf15-cli interface supports automation and scripted execution, including listing workloads; running official, installed, or selected workloads; choosing the resolution; enabling debug output; and cancelling workloads during execution.
  • New Workload
    • blender-01 – Built around Blender 3.6 LTS, enabling content creators to measure the performance of Blender on their systems.
  • Updated Workloads:
    • catia-07 – updated with traces from the 2022x version of Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA. Traces from CATIA v5 are also included in the workload.
    • creo-04 – updated with traces from PTC Creo 9
    • maya-07 – updated with traces from Autodesk Maya 2025. Two new models, “Apollo” and “Sol and Solette” are also included.
    • solidworks-08 – updated with traces from Dassault Systèmes Solidworks 2024
    • snx-05 – A new OpenGL-based workload designed to measure the performance of computer-aided design workflows running on Siemens NX 2406
  • “Snap-In” Architecture Flexibility: Users can download, run, and submit results for any subset of workloads rather than having to install or execute the full suite.

System Requirements

  • x86_64 systems running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10, Rocky Linux 10, or Fedora 43; aarch64 systems running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
  • Minimum System RAM: 16GB
  • Required disk space: 100GB
  • Minimum GPU VRAM: 4GB
  • Required OpenGL API version: OpenGL 4.5 compliance
